AMD Solicitors appoints new Trainee Solicitor

Bristol Law firm AMD Solicitors is delighted to announce the appointment of Michaela Hounslow as a Trainee Solicitor. Michaela graduated in Law with a first before beginning her legal career as a Litigation paralegal. She now joins AMD following the completion of her LPC where she was awarded a distinction.

Michaela will gain specialist experience with several departments during her two years of training at AMD. Michaela’s first seat will be in Property at the firm’s Whiteladies Road office before moving to Litigation, Private Client and Company Commercial throughout the firm’s 4 offices.

AMD has an excellent record of retaining their trainees. Grant McCall, Director at AMD, believes the AMD retention rate is down to candidates buying into AMD values and gaining such frontline experience during the training contract – “unlike the larger, national law firms, we take a small number of trainees each year. We invest heavily in our select intake. Our investment is not just in terms of professional development but also in our cultural values, the way we care for our clients and the ethos of a local, independent law firm. We are delighted to welcome Michaela as we continue to add strong talent to our Bristol offices”.

Michaela has said on starting her training contract that she particularly values the personable approach that AMD adopts as it sits well with her own ideals of the solicitor she wants to become. She enjoys the level of responsibility she has so early on and is looking forward to immersing herself into all specialisms throughout her training contract with AMD.
