In support of Diabetes UK, AMD entered a team in the recent charity golf event held at Filton Golf Club on 20 September 2013.
From our first tee box, 1 ball out of 4 found the target fairway, 2 found the wrong fairways and 1 failed to reach any fairway but after a fantastic par save from Steve Brice on our second hole par 3, the team play soon clicked into gear. Carding a team score of 90 stableford points left us all feeling like we had a good chance at the title but as the leaderboard was updated, a nervous wait ensued. When the announcement came that second place went to a team score of 88, our score of 90 meant we won the event by a margin of just 2 points. The debate continues as to which clutch putt cemented the victory…
The event raised awareness and financial support for Diabetes UK to which AMD were glad to be a part of. A big thank you to David Cottrell Accountants and Filton Golf Club for staging a fantastic event and to the AMD Team who have added to the AMD Trophy Cabinet. More polish has been ordered.
