Kate qualified as a solicitor in 2016 and has been at AMD since 2021. Kate became Deputy Head of the Private Client department in the Henleaze office in 2024.

Prior to joining AMD, Kate worked at a legal 500 firm in Surrey and an international law firm in Bristol. 

Kate specialises in Administration of Complex Estates and Trusts, Inheritance Tax Planning advice and preparation of Wills.

Kate is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), a global professional body comprising lawyers and other practitioners that help families plan for their futures.

Whilst obtaining her STEP qualification, Kate was awarded with a STEP Excellence Award. This award recognises the highest achievers across all STEP qualifications globally.

Kate is Chair of the Bristol branch of STEP, which involves organising conferences, webinars and training sessions with pioneering speakers in the private client field to support local STEP members’ ongoing learning and professional development within the legal profession. As part of this role, Kate also liaises with regulatory legal bodies to support, develop and improve legal services in the South West of England generally.

Kate is also a member of Lifetime Lawyers (formerly Solicitors for the Elderly), a specialist group of lawyers who are trained to support and advise older and vulnerable people. As a Lifetime Lawyer, Kate is qualified to deliver the best outcomes for clients of all ages who are facing important life decisions, including those with complex needs and who may need extra support.  

Kate has previously served as legal counsel to the trustees of a care home, helping them navigate a diverse range of legal issues as required.

Kate has also previously been interviewed on the BBC, discussing topics relevant to her work such as: why to make a Will, leaving legacies for care of an animal and claims against an estate.
