AMD supports Charity Day for Bristol After Stroke and Open Arms Malawi

July 10, 2023

We were delighted to support Captain’s Charity Day at Bristol and Clifton Golf Club on 7 July. The chosen charities for this year were Bristol After Stroke and open Arms Malawi.

Bristol After Stroke is an independent local charity helping people rebuild their lives after a stroke. The Charity offers a combination of practical, social, emotional and psychological support to stroke-affected people and their carers and loved ones. Open Arms Malawi believe that every child has the right to survival and development. The Charity provide essential care for Malawi’s orphaned and abandoned children, giving them the chance to achieve their potential within the love and security of a home. Approximately 144 playing participants attended the day over a morning and afternoon tee time. Our team got off to a reasonable start but all 4 scores counted on the par 3s. After opening our account with 3 points on the first par 3 we were playing to avoid the wooden spoon! Following the round, the charities gave short presentations followed by a live auction to raise further funds. An excellent day and great to see such support for both charities.
