AMD completes Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge!

27 June 2022

Zoe Sproull, Katie Hughes and Grant McCall on the starting blocks. All smiles were soon removed at the sight of the first hill.

In support of our charity of the year Great Western Air Ambulance, a small team from AMD completed the Cotswold Way Challenge on 25 June.

Starting at 9.30am from Painswick Rugby Club, our route took us a total of just under 20 miles until we reached the finish line at Wotton Community PARC just before 6.00pm.

The weather conditions were kind but the route was less generous. To say we can relate to Nims Purja would be misleading but after the number of hills climbed we were starting to feel like we’d conquered the 14 peaks!

We recorded over 45,000 steps, a little higher than the usual average.

We would like to thank everyone who has sponsored our team for this event and to those who have helped organise and take part. Our fundraising target for this year is £2500 and the funds raised for this event move our current total to £1,314. It is not too late to add to this total and any further donations would be greatly received.
