A Lasting Power of Attorney allows you to choose someone, known as your attorney, to make decisions on your behalf. Once registered, this can allow your attorney to make decisions on your behalf immediately or at a time when you can no longer make decisions for yourself. The majority of lasting powers completed relate to property and financial affairs. These authorise an attorney to operate bank accounts, manage investments and buy and sell property on your behalf. It is also possible to appoint attorneys to make decisions regarding health and welfare matters. This may cover medical treatment that you would, or conversely may not wish to receive, in such circumstances that you may specify and also whether you continue to live in your own home or move into residential care.
AMD can advise you on the appointment of appropriate attorneys and assist with the preparation of a Lasting Power of Attorney tailored to meet your particular requirements.
What our Clients say
A massive thanks to you and Ana for drawing up Zanshin Film’s Terms and Conditions. You both listened carefully to, and completely understood a few very industry specific requirements that I had, and these have been integrated into the legal-speak !
I feel very confident going into new jobs now, knowing that I have a watertight, and if needed, enforceable set of Terms and Conditions.

I previously used AMD on a commercial basis, and needed some matters trust-related to be dealt with. I was put through to Andrew Jack, and the services he has provided, have been excellent. At times, he has brought in Florence, and our Family have always felt at ease with AMD’s Client Care. Strenuously recommended.15/03/2019
I wish to thank AMD solicitors and especially Grant McCall and Helen Brewer. It has been a hard year for businesses, but thankfully having Grant and Helen by my side in every step of forming my new company, it was a blessing! We had to work together on multiple occasions from the initial theoretical structure of my new business to the final touches of all the material and non-material aspects of it! I can’t thank you enough for giving me the gift of “peace of mind”. Now I can look at the future without being pulled back to rebuilding basic structures of all the legal aspects of my new company. Thank you Grant and Helen. Thank you AMD solicitors.01/01/2021
